Mass Timber Building Tour + Panel: DEI and Career Paths in Wood Construction
February 1 @ 10:30 am - 1:30 pm PST
- In Person
Regional In-Person Tour & Seminar (Salem, OR)
This event is the first in a series geared toward women and minority groups, developing mentor-mentee relationships between industry professionals and students, and demonstrating career paths and opportunities in wood construction.
Join us at Chemeketa Community College’s award-winning mass timber Agricultural Complex to learn about the roles of key project team members as they lead a panel discussion and tour of the building. Made from veneer-based CLT and glulam, this 15,000 square-foot academic structure houses flexible learning, research areas, and working spaces for students, faculty, staff, and partners and serves as a collective hub for the community.
Please join us after the panel discussion for lunch before the tours begin.
